Commercial Fencing with DJ Fence & Gate
Commercial fencing starts with more than a material choice. The scope may involve vehicle access, occupied areas, existing infrastructure, drawing revisions, and a bid deadline. Bring us the information you have, and we’ll work through the fencing and gate requirements with your team.
DJ Fence & Gate handles new commercial installations and repairs for businesses, industrial properties, multifamily communities, and municipal or government projects. Chain link, ornamental fencing, specialty systems, and automated entrances can be discussed as part of the same project.
We also welcome smaller commercial work. A damaged perimeter section or an entrance that no longer works properly can deserve attention long before a full-site replacement is planned. Tell us what must stay accessible and who is responsible for the site so the proposed work reflects real operating conditions.
The details that matter
Discuss the intended boundary, visibility, fence height, material specifications, and where the perimeter meets existing structures.
Plan vehicle and pedestrian openings, operators, credentials, visitor access, and the responsibilities of other trades.
Identify the affected sections and the access that must remain available. Share any site restrictions before work is scheduled.
Send plans, specifications, addenda, quantities if available, and the bid deadline. Flag alternates and project-specific requirements.
Compare the details
Start with the look you like, then compare privacy, access, care and the needs of your property.

Screening changes both visibility and wind exposure. Review the fabric, supports, local restrictions and suitability of adding a screen to the selected fence system.

This galvanized perimeter includes a security topping. Specialized toppings need a site-specific review of safety, restrictions, access and the commercial specification.

A dark finish makes the fence less visually prominent against the landscape. Match fabric, posts, rails and gate frames, and plan how the line follows the terrain.

An uncoated metallic finish creates a practical open boundary. Compare mesh, wire gauge, posts and gate framing rather than choosing by color alone.

An open metal gate coordinates with an ornamental perimeter. Plan the clear opening, nearby bollards and pedestrian or vehicle movement before finalizing the layout.

A chain-link entrance can match a functional commercial perimeter. Confirm the gate configuration, travel space, clear width and hardware in the project drawings.

An open metal vehicle gate provides a defined entrance without a solid screen. Review support, operating space, access control and safety provisions together.
A closer look
A swing gate needs room for the entire leaf to travel. A sliding gate needs a suitable path beside the opening; tracked and cantilever arrangements have different support and clearance needs. Measure the usable opening and the space around it, not just the gap between two posts.
For a driveway, show the approach, nearby parking and the vehicles that regularly use it. For a walk gate, include the path, steps, bins and mower access. The most attractive gate is not the right choice if it makes routine access difficult.
The leaf, frame, posts, hinges, latches and adjoining fence affect one another. A gate that drags may have a support problem rather than a latch problem. For replacement work, we assess what can stay before specifying a new leaf.
Wood, vinyl and open metal gates place different demands on the assembly. Wide and paired openings need their own details. Include finish, hardware, hold-open arrangements and the direction of travel in the agreed scope.
Automation adds an operator, controls, power arrangements and safety considerations. Tell us who needs access: residents, staff, visitors, deliveries or service teams. Keypads, remotes, readers and intercoms serve different needs and must be compatible with the selected system.
Discuss power availability, backup operation, manual release and work by other trades before installation. An existing manual gate is not automatically ready for an operator. Never bypass a safety device or keep cycling a gate that appears unsafe.

A clear way forward
Include the site location, drawing set, specification sections, deadline, and the contact responsible for clarifications.
Call out demolition, grading, foundations, electrical work, access equipment, and work assigned to others.
Identify working hours, deliveries, occupied areas, security rules, and any sequencing needed with other trades.
Share insurance, bonding, certification, submittal, and closeout requirements for review. Availability must be confirmed for the individual project.
We stand behind our work
Commercial, industrial, government, multifamily, and general-contractor work is not covered by the residential lifetime warranty. Unless otherwise specified in writing, commercial installations carry one year of workmanship coverage.
Before we get started
Yes. We accept commercial fencing and gate inquiries from general contractors. Send the current plans, specifications, and deadline so we can review the scope.
Yes. Share the location, intended use, approximate scope, and photos if available. We can discuss what information is needed before a meaningful estimate can be prepared.
Email plans or a document-sharing link to info@djfenceandgate.com. Include the project name, site location, contact information, and bid deadline. Avoid sending sensitive access credentials.
No. Commercial, industrial, government, multifamily, and general-contractor projects follow the individual written agreement. Unless otherwise specified in writing, commercial installations receive one year of workmanship coverage.
Slats or screening may be options, but their added wind exposure and compatibility need review. We should assess the framework before adding a screen to an existing fence.
That depends on the specification. Confirm the finish on the fabric, framework, fittings and gates in the proposal.
