Walk & Garden Gates with DJ Fence & Gate
A walk gate should be easy to reach, open and secure. We discuss the route through the yard, the available opening and the selected fence material so the entrance works as part of the layout.
Think beyond walking through it once. Mowers, bins, garden equipment and occasional deliveries may need more space than a narrow pedestrian opening provides. Ground clearance and the direction of swing also need to be reviewed.
If an existing gate drags or will not latch, we can assess the hinges, hardware, frame and supporting posts. A new latch alone may not resolve a movement or support problem, and a working fence may not need replacing just because the gate needs attention.
The details that matter
Plan convenient access between the front and back yard.
Coordinate the opening and appearance with the surrounding fence.
Review wood, vinyl and metal options and their compatible hardware.
Discuss alignment, hinges, latches and the condition of supporting posts.
Compare the details
Start with the look you like, then compare privacy, access, care and the needs of your property.

A single wood leaf fits naturally into a privacy fence. Review the opening, hinge support and latch access from both sides.

A single vinyl gate keeps the side-yard entrance coordinated with the fence. Frame reinforcement and compatible hinges matter as much as the panel.

A single wood gate with an open lattice detail creates a more decorative entrance. Match the gate's top line and finish to the adjoining fence.

Spaced wood pickets make an inviting entrance within an open rail layout. Measure the path and mower clearance before choosing the width.

A framed pedestrian opening gives practical access through an open boundary. Check mesh size, latch position and clearances for the intended use.

A framed single leaf carries the cap-and-trim detail through the entrance. Discuss gate weight, hinge posts and room for the swing.
A closer look
The leaf, frame, posts, hinges, latches and adjoining fence affect one another. A gate that drags may have a support problem rather than a latch problem. For replacement work, we assess what can stay before specifying a new leaf.
Wood, vinyl and open metal gates place different demands on the assembly. Wide and paired openings need their own details. Include finish, hardware, hold-open arrangements and the direction of travel in the agreed scope.
At handover, review normal operation, how to secure the opening and the care information supplied for the equipment. Keep the operator and control documentation where the property manager or owner can find it. Access credentials should not be sent through a public estimate form.
New gates have a two-year complimentary adjustment provision under the written warranty. That is not an unlimited warranty on materials or operators. Residential, repair and commercial workmanship classifications have different terms; confirm which applies to the agreed project.

A clear way forward
Tell us who and what needs to pass through the opening.
Include nearby steps, planting, grade changes and other obstructions.
Discuss operation, securing the gate and any special barrier requirements.
Identify the gate, supports, adjoining repairs and coverage in writing.
We stand behind our work
Qualifying complete new residential installations are covered for as long as the original customer owns the property. Non-transferable. Material defects, natural wood changes, and other exclusions apply. Repairs and commercial work have separate terms.
Before we get started
We can evaluate that option. The adjoining fence and supports need to be suitable for the proposed work.
Do not assume so. A pool barrier has specific design and hardware requirements that must be reviewed for the property.
We can discuss a wider opening, including the required supports and available clearance.
Yes. Send photos with the gate open and closed. We will discuss the hardware and alignment as well as the condition of the posts.
The opening size, material, frame, supports, operating method, site preparation, removal, operator, controls and related trade work can all affect the scope. A meaningful estimate separates those items.
